Hi! I am nelson from the Philippines. My friend and I decided to put up an online business and we see how in demand the online dating site these days. But I must say we do not have enough knowledge on how to market our dating site online. Any help from anyone here on how to market our site online will be very much appreciated! Thanks!

There are millions and millions of free and pay for dating sites on the internet today. A few of these sites make millions and millions of dollars a month. The rest are lucky if they make enough to cover their expenses. The question is: How can you make your dating site one of these top few extremely sucessful sites?

That's like saying I want to become a lawyer. Can someone tell me how to become a rich and successful lawyer?

It's going to take time, money and patience.

The first thing I did was go to my public library and take out every book I could find on SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Without at least the basics, your site will never take off.

The most important part of SEO is finding other relevant and quality sites that will link to yours. This is perhaps the hardest and most frustrating part of promoting a dating site, because most people will not do something unless there is something in it for them.

Whatever you do, don't buy into the myth: "It's all just about building great content." I'm not saying don't include great content on your site. However, unless you're also posting the cure for cancer, you'll never get enough "free backlinks" the organic way to drive your site to the top. SEO is a lot of work. Expect to spend at least a year before your site starts to do really well.

Best of luck.
